Google Uses Twitter to Sell Ads

Intuit was recently the first Marketer to purchase the ad units sold by Google to direct traffic to their TurboTax Twitter page. When a user clicks on a google ad it does not direct them to TurboTax.com but to Twitter.com/turbotax.

Twitter had about 7 million unique visitors in the month of February and the number is still growing, but what is the value of a Twitter follower from a marketing standpoint?
