Report Reveals Registered Nurses Least Satisfied in Hospital Setting, Offers Solutions to Improve Satisfaction

Among health care professionals, nurses are the least satisfied with their jobs according to a new Press Ganey Associates, Inc. report, which examines the perspectives of more than 200,000 employees and 45,000 nurses nationwide.

Pennsylvania Bans Mandatory OT for Nurses

A bill banning hospitals and other health care facilities from imposing mandatory overtime on nurses and employees who work directly with patients could help ease the nursing shortage by encouraging former nurses to re-enter the profession, one nurse believes.
