Learn to be the Ultimate GenY Employer-of-choice

For some great tips on how to hold a campus information session worth attending, check out this AdAge article: http://adage.com/gennext/post?article_id=131397.

Granted it's geared toward companies recruiting for advertising agencies, but the ideas are universal.

Just want the highlights? Here you go:

  1. Customize your Employment Value Proposition pitch to the specific school and/or program.
  2. Give your audience some credit. Sell career development, not parties and perks.
  3. Show real-life case studies that highlight your competitive differentiators.
  4. Be specific about your ideal candidate. Don't waste your time ... or theirs.
  5. Leave something behind. At the very least, provide a one-sheet with available job openings, deadlines, contact information, etc. Even better, distribute your case studies.
