Industry Expert to Speak at 2009 SHRM Annual Conference

Posted by Laura McPeck, Director of Total Quality, Business Development

Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) June 15, 2009 – NAS Recruitment Communications announced today that on Monday, June 29 at the SHRM Annual Conference in New Orleans, Matthew Adam, Vice President and Chief Talent Strategist, will conduct a seminar illustrating how leading organizations are developing intuitive, experiential websites that connect with quality candidates.

Today’s candidates are making assumptions about an organization and its employment opportunities based on what they find on the website. With that realization, Adam will offer “How Your Website Can Be Your #1 Recruiting Tool,” a road map to successfully designing and evolving a company’s site with the candidate experience in mind.

“Even in this economic downturn,” Adam said, “smart organizations are continuing to evolve their website experience to attract and connect with A-level talent. The reality is that a site designed a couple of years ago will most likely not meet the evolving and accelerated expectations of today’s candidate. This program is designed to shed light on how candidates interact with websites and what your site needs to lock them in.”

Adam is a recruitment strategy consultant with over 14 years of professional experience with both Fortune 500 companies and small start-ups. An author and experienced keynote speaker, he will continue to offer his insight at regional and national conferences throughout 2009.

Direct Mail takes center stage as a successful recruitment tool.

Posted by Laura McPeck, Director of Total Quality, Business Development

Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) June 11, 2009 – Even in today’s world of electronic communications, the tried and true method of direct mail can be an advantageous strategy in recruiting talent. This was the case when NAS Recruitment Communications, a leader in human resources solutions, provided client Franklin Square Hospital − MedStar with a successful direct mail campaign resulting in the hiring of an exceptional candidate for a hard-to-fill position.

“Franklin Square Hospital was looking for a Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, a position that required both technical expertise and a strong leadership background,” said Tara Twomley, Account Manager at NAS Atlanta. “We suggested using a direct mail postcard that could be personalized to each recipient, a technique that has been shown to dramatically improve response. Variable data mailings are just one of many print and interactive techniques NAS utilizes to help clients achieve positive results.”

The mailing was sent to 2,000 prospective candidates. The results were immediate and, according to the client, “incredible.” Bonnie Cohen-Finch, Recruitment Specialist for Franklin Square Hospital – MedStar, said, “We received five wonderful candidates to interview and hired one of them for the position. We would definitely use this option again. The responses from the direct mailers came in very quickly and all of the candidates were qualified.”

NAS Recruitment Communications today released the online banner campaign results for Austin client St. David’s HealthCare. Launched in fall 2008, the strategically placed statesmanjobs.com online banner has consistently driven over 3,000 clicks each month to the St. David’s HealthCare career portal and yielded above average click-through rate (CTR) results.

“We’ve been partners with NAS for over four years,” says Randy Stone, Vice President of Human Resources for St. David’s HealthCare. “This online banner campaign has not only accounted for 4% of our total career portal traffic, but it’s also been a great sounding board for accolades and facility enhancements, such as our newly debuted state-of-the-art Women’s Center of Texas.”

The online banner campaign on statesmanjobs.com has been a foundational local recruitment strategy for several years. “St. David’s HealthCare has been named the #1 Best Large Employer in Austin for the past three years, and their recruitment needs are diverse and specialized,” says NAS Business Development Director, Anne Lynnette Gallas. “We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our partnership with St. David’s HealthCare and have launched countless cutting-edge recruitment campaigns along with an incredible employment brand that accurately reflects their Employment Value Proposition and helps them stand out in a very competitive marketplace.”
